As an avid photographer, everything I shoot I configure into a story. I don’t care if it’s a day at the beach…there’s a story there! Maybe it’s a shot of my husband and I looking at map or squeezing into the smallest parking spot ever. Or my skin getting progressively burned (I actually have a series of 6 shots showcasing this!) It’s all a story to me. Professional Photo Books has helped me refine the art of telling stories with my photos. When I first used their services, I had to make decisions about my photos. Now when I take photos, it’s kind of second nature. What is the storyline behind these photos? What message do I want to convey? What is the beginning, middle and end? Does it have a climax? Does it have a theme?

I ask all of these questions now before sending my work to Professional Photo Books. I even think in terms of one single shot…can that have a beginning, middle and end? Of course, it can.
Every picture tells a story, doesn’t it? That’s how the expression goes!

Using these services has helped with a certain cohesiveness and tightness to my work. It seems more professional because there’s an overarching principle behind it. It helps me organize my creative process a little more. And trust me, as an artist, I need all of the organization I can get!
