When you are in the business of art, design and photography, there is something that you are going to want to be sure of: you are going to want to be aware that there is an increasing demand for printed photo books.
On one hand, that is to say that there is an increased number of photographers who are finding that their clients want to be able to take advantage of printed photo books as a way to gather their photos. On the other, the increased demand for printed photo books has more to do with those who are looking to collect those images that showcase the work of their favorite artists - this is a demand that has been pointed out by those publishers who put out art books.
Of course, in order to take advantage of the trend toward an increased interest in printed photo books there is no reason why you would be forced to work with a publisher; it’s possible to self-publish printed photo books and to get more control of the design process by doing it on your own. After all, it is your art and creativity - shouldn’t you be able to express it your way?
