Creating Local Printed Photo Books
For the most part, people who live in both big cities and small towns find that there are a number of advantages to living in the town where they are. As a photographer, you will find that by creating printed photo books, you will be in a position to market your town to those who know it best.
Now that’s not to say that in order to design a local printed photo book you will need to go out and shoot all of the photographs that are included; you’ll find that you can either use images that you have already taken or that you will be able to place a call for submissions. If you do request photo submissions to include in a local photo book, you may also ask those people who are sending something in to include a story about why they chose that shot, a memory of the area or a specific reason why they love living where they do.
What you will find is that by including others, you are able to do less work to create a printed photo book; more importantly, perhaps, you’ll discover that you’re generating an interest in the printed photo book long before it’s ready to go.
