Capturing Treasured Memories in Printed Photo Books
Being an event photographer is a job that comes with a great deal of responsibility. While all photographers are going to find themselves using their equipment and light to capture a moment that freezes time and expresses everything that their clients want to be able to say, the reality is that event photographers have a little bit of extra pressure. Wedding photographers aren’t just there to document that a couple stood in front of a minister, a judge or a justice of the peace and committed their lives to one another. Instead, they’re there to capture the mood.
Wedding photographers - as well as event photographers who capture theatrical performances, live musical performances, retirement parties or birthday parties or family reunions - are not just there to preserve a moment, they’re present because those who are attending want to be able to capture the spirit of the event and the way that everyone experienced it.
With printed photo books, you are going to find that it’s easier to combine the perspectives of those who were active participants and those who were there but somehow in the shadows. Using a printed photo book as a wedding album is going to enable you to think about the guests, the couple, the wedding party and little things like the flowers and work them all into a volume that tells the whole story.
In other words, what you are going to find is this: as a photographer, printed photo books give you the opportunity to capture memories for your clients - and that’s the thing that will keep them coming back.
