Photo Books – The Many Uses

So you’ve earned the right to call yourself a photographer. You’ve discovered your passion for taking pictures, you’ve gone out and purchased your equipment, opened up your own studio and over time have developed a collection of shots and images that you are wondering what to do with.

Consider photo books!

Printed photo books have gained popularity in the industry for many reasons. I have come up with five that I consider useful.

1. Printed photo books are a new way of displaying your work to clients while they are thinking about poses and which style of prints they are most interested in purchasing.

2. Photo books are a great way to showcase your style of photography to potential clients who are still in the market for a photographer.

3. Printed photo books are portable and can be taken to show gallery owners, cafe owners and others who you would like to have show your work.

4. When you use printed photo books, you can create your own coffee table books with family memories or great shots from a trip.

5. Printed photo books can be used as a photo package for event photographers; for example, wedding photographers can use them to offer a different type of album to their clients.

Photo books can send a great message. For example, if you are in the business of wedding photography, and a prospective wedding couple comes to your studio, what better way to show them your work, than to show them a photo book, a book creatively put together with as much pizzazz as you would put together a wedding album and close the deal then and there.

A creative photo book can showcase your photography very well and make a bold statement. Most of all a well crafted and designed photo book portfolio can and will help increase your overall business.
